My Career Goals

My short-term to mid-term career goal has always been to move into a customer facing role, with my prime responsibility being milking new projects out of customer, and mapping customer requirements to business solutions. Different organization call the person involved in this sort of a role by different names - some call it a Business Analyst (Wipro), some call it a Program Manager (Infosys), some call it a Solution Architect (Akamai).

I think I got the inspiration to follow this particular career path from my cousin brother - Ravi. I grew up watching him climb up the corporate ladder in a similar profile. Since he was my childhood hero (he's not my hero anymore though - for some "other" reasons of course!) I guess I had this desire to become like him, and that resulted in the inspiration to follow in his footsteps.

I don't know whether it is the right step to take. But, given that I am gifted with a glib tongue, I don't think I'll do badly either! Whether it is indeed my "calling", only time will tell. For now, I'm just going to concentrate on anything and everything I can to ensure that I achieve this career goal of mine at the earliest possible.

So, Ravi Etta, if you're reading this, do drop me a few helpful pointers!
Deal?
